Using Farpoint 55 as carry-on Can you use the Farpoint 55 as carry-on luggage? Yes you can! The main 40L backpack slightly exceeds the common airline carry-on size limits. The S/M version is about 2 inches (5cm) too big, while the M/L version is about 3 inches too big.
The main difference between these two bags is that Fairview is designed for women, but Farpoint – for men. Visually, as you can see from the photos above, they look exactly the same.

I had a planned trip to KL Malaysia and was searching online for stores to buy Osprey Farpoint 55 M/L however couldn’t find anyone. Then I found OBS store on FB and contacted them. This is a perfect size for travelling for weeks, even months. Hopping from hostel to hostel, camping etc. Even though the size dont meet the cabin carry on requirement, but i think, it’ll also convenient to check in cuz you can hid the strap part. The best part abt this bag is you can actually detach the day pack for daily activity! Can’t wait to travel for months again!
